Chances are you've already heard of the Alaska SPCA. They have been in business in Alaska since 1955 and specialize in animal care, rescue, and welfare for cats, dogs, and rabbits.
Some of their veterinary services include spay and neutering, exams, dental care, vaccinations, microchipping, and prescription pet food. They also have an Adoption Center where pets can be united with their forever families.
In November they posted an amazing new service they are offering: "Pet sweaters! Our Adoption Center is excited to announce that we will be able to provide sweaters and winter gear for dogs through our pet food bank! If you or someone you know is struggling to keep their pets warm this winter, please call 907-344-3033 to arrange a pick up of a sweater or coat for your furry friend. Everything is made possible through donations from our amazing community, so please call ahead to be sure that we have an appropriate size for your pet."
