Alaska Dog and Puppy Rescue: Our Mission and Work
Overview
Alaska Dog and Puppy Rescue is dedicated to rescuing dogs from a variety of sources, including local communities, Animal Control and Shelters, as well as bush communities throughout Alaska. The organization also accepts unexpected or unplanned litters from the public, ensuring the mothers are spayed to prevent future accidental litters.
Care and Adoption Process
Every dog and puppy rescued by the organization undergoes a thorough process before adoption. This includes being spayed or neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, and carefully evaluated. All animals are cared for in foster homes until they are ready to join their new families, which benefits both the animals and the community.
Community Advocacy and Education
Alaska Dog and Puppy Rescue strives to be a strong advocate for dogs, not only within the local community but beyond. The organization is committed to educating the public about responsible pet ownership and highlights the importance of spaying and neutering as part of its outreach efforts.
