Mat-Su Trails and Parks Foundation

Our primary service is grantmaking. MSTPF offers funding opportunities to qualified non-profit organizations, government entities, and tribal organizations who work to develop and maintain sustainable trails or acquire lands to create parks in the Mat-Su Borough. MSTPF grants out approximately $350,000 annually to support a variety of trails, parks, and recreation projects in the Mat- Su. In 2020 MSTPF was able to grant out over $360,000 to 24 organizations, including $100,000 in Rapid Response Grants to support organizations that were facilitating and improving access to outdoor recreation during the Covid-19 pandemic.
