Alaska Humane Society Adopt-a-Cat Shelter

Throughout Alaska there are cats in need: strays, those in bad living conditions, owner surrenders, and those who need temporary sanctuary. The Adopt-a-Cat Shelter provides these cats with food, medical care, and love until they are adopted or returned to their owners. All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for feline leukemia (FeLV) and feline immunovirus (FIV), and micro-chipped. They roam freely throughout the shelter in a comfortable living space. Not every cat is adopted, but those who are not have a lifetime home at the shelter.
